Regulations – SISP Annual Conference Grants
To encourage the participation of young members in the Annual Conference, SISP offers 15 travel grants, each worth up to a maximum of €200.
Applications must be submitted via the MySisp platform between April 14 and May 25, and must include the following documents:
CV
A valid ID
The abstract of the paper to be presented at the Conference
For non-members: a motivation letter and a reference letter from a faculty member who is both affiliated and a registered SISP member.
To be eligible, applicants must meet the following criteria:
Be a SISP member with the annual membership fee paid, or have already applied for membership and be awaiting approval by the Executive Committee, or apply for membership within the grant application period, submitting the required documentation and, in the event of approval, paying the membership fee by July 30, 2025;
Have submitted a paper proposal to the SISP Conference;
Not hold a permanent academic position (e.g., PhD candidates or research fellows);
Be under 36 years of age;
Not receive any other reimbursement, even partial, from other institutions or organizations for related expenses.
If the number of applications exceeds the number of grants available, the Executive Committee will appoint a Selection Committee to evaluate the applications and create a ranking list. Evaluation will be based on the applicant’s CV. In case of equal merit, preference will be given to the younger candidate and, if applicable, to those who were already SISP members at the time of application.
Grants will be disbursed after the Conference, upon proof of participation and submission of receipts (travel + meals + accommodation).
Please note that grant recipients will be entitled to free participation in the crash courses organized in the days leading up to the 2025 Conference.
