This early morning, as soon as the news reached me, I asked the Secretariat in Montreal to produce a note in IPSA’s website and social media, so the international community is informed, paving our respect for such a great colleague. His influence as IPSA president is well remembered. All the IPSA community will be very sad about Leonardo not being with us anymore.

He was not only a great academician, who produced outstanding books and theories, but he was also an outstaindig person, one of these human beings whose influence in the personal domain will remain forever. I knew him for thirty years and it was always delightful to have the chance to share some time with him.

Please, convey my deepest condolences to all the Italian political science Community for this loss. We will heartfeltly miss him.
