How to get to Lecce

By car
Coming from the North, take the A-14 motorway and take the Bari Nord exit. Then continue on the SS613 Brindisi-Lecce highway until you reach the capital of the Salento peninsula. At the end of the state road, near the city, there is a parking area in piazzale Carmelo Bene (800 meters from the university complex “Studium 2000”), or parking area in via Vito Carluccio (opposite entrance Studium 2000).

By train
By Trenitalia lines it is possible to reach Lecce railway station and then use the SGM public transport service. From the station square, take the urban bus line “31” or “33” and get off at the “Porta Napoli” stop (400 meters from the Studium 2000 and in the immediate vicinity of the university building of “Codacci Pisanelli” Palace).

By plane
The Salento airport of Brindisi-Papola Casale is about 50 km from the capital of Salento. It is therefore possible to reach Lecce by using the shuttle bus service (fare € 6.50 per trip) departing from the terminal car park. Tickets can be purchased at “Bar Sandrino srl” (point of sale located in the same airport) or on board the bus with a surcharge of € 1.50. Travel time is 40/45 minutes. Arrival is at the Airport City Terminal in piazzale Carmelo Bene, at the northern entrance to the city of Lecce (800 meters away from the Studium 2000). Here are the daily trips with the departure times of the bus from Brindisi (P) airport and arrival in Lecce (A): (P) 05.45 – (A) 06.20; (P) 08.35 – (A) 09.15; (P) 10.55 – (A) 11.35; (P) 12.50 – (A) 13.30; (P) 14.50 – (A) 15.30; (P) 16.40 – (A) 17.20; (P) 19.00 – (A) 19.40; (P) 21.50 – (A) 22.30; (P) 23.50 – (A) 00.30.

For groups it might be convenient to use one of the Rental Con Driver’s services with which we have stipulated agreements (SISP 2019 conference).

A low cost alternative is to take the bus from the airport to Brindisi station, and from there the train to Lecce.

By bus
The stop in the city of Lecce of the most important Italian bus companies is in Piazzale Carmelo Bene.
