19 February – 5 April 2024: Call for panels

15 April – 31 May 2024: Call for papers

1-7 June 2024: Time extension for panels in need of further integrations

14 June 2024: Deadline for paper selection by panel chairs

20 June 2024: Conference registration begins

20 July 2024: End of early bird registration for non SISP members

31 July 2024: Deadline to appear in the program. All conference participants interested in having their name displayed in the program must register by this date.

31 August 2024: Deadline for registration to the Conference for both SISP members and non-members.

5 September 2024: Upload of final papers to MySISP

Registration & Fees

Registration to SISP 2024 will be open from June 20 to August 31, 2024, which is the final registration deadline for both SISP members and non-members. Registration to the Conference can be done exclusively through the reserved area MySISP.

After logging in, you can click on ‘Registration to the Conference’ at the bottom right of your dashboard, and follow the instructions.

For those presenting more than one paper, it is enough to register only once. 

Registration is free -but mandatory- for SISP members

After logging in on MySISP, click on ‘Convegno 2024’ and on ‘Registration to the Conference’ at the bottom right of your dashboard. At that point:

– Select your ‘Conference Role’

– Indicate any participation in the Social Dinner

– Click on ‘Confirm and Proceed’

– Authorize the Privacy Policy

– Click again on ‘Confirm and Proceed’ to finalize the registration

Social Dinner

Participation in the social dinner is free for SISP Members who will register by August 31, 2024. After this day, registration will still be possible but the participation in the social dinner will require a fee of €20.

A limited number of tickets is available for any accompanying persons, at a cost of €50. To reserve a ticket please write to the SISP Secretariat.

The Social dinner will take place at the Restaurant ‘Pier the Roof’, at Molo Venezia 1, 34123, Trieste.

After logging in on MySISP, click on ‘Convegno 2024’ and on ‘Registration to the Conference’ at the bottom right of your dashboard and follow the instructions:

– Select your ‘Conference Role’

Costs for non-members (paper givers; section chairs; panel chairs; round table participants) are the following: 

Full professors: €150 until July 20, 2024, then €180;

Associate professors: €120 until July 20, 2024, then €144;

Assistant Professors: €85 until July 20, 2024, then €102;

PhD students and post-doc researchers: €60 until July 20, 2024, then € 72;

Non-academic: €85 until July 20, 2024, thereafter €102;

Discussants or listeners: €30 until July 20, 2024, then €36.

– Indicate any participation in the social dinner 

– Select the payment method (Paypal, WireTransfer, Credit Card) and proceed.

ATTENTION: Registration is not considered complete until payment is done.

Social Dinner

The cost of the social dinner for non SISP members is €50.

A limited number of tickets is available for any accompanying persons, always at a cost of €50. To reserve a ticket please write to SISP Secretariat.  

Online and printed program

SISP has decided not to produce a printed programme of the next conference. The electronic version of the programme will be available free of charge to all participants. 

Cancellation Policy

It is possible to cancel the registration and ask for a reimbursement of the registration fee by writing to SISP Secretariat (segreteria@sisp.it) no later than August 8, 2024.

Membership applications for participation in the conference as a SISP member

Those who wish to join SISP and participate in the conference as a member must submit their membership application by the deadline set for the ‘early-bird registration’ (July 20, 2024). These requests will be evaluated by an extraordinary Steering Committee, which will take place online within the first week of August. The payment of the membership fee, valid for the current year (2024), must be made by August 31.

Requests received after July 20 will be evaluated by the Steering Committee in the days immediately preceding the conference. In this case, the participant must pay the non-member conference registration fee as well as the cost for any dinner participation. The payment of the membership fee can be made by December 31, 2024 and will be valid for the following year (2025).
