WCSA promotes, since its foundation on December 14th, 2009, its awards which are delivered when the Edition Committee decides to deliver at the following WCSA Conference in a special ceremony.
WCSA Medal 2024 is structured into the following award categories:
1) The Medal, the “Distinguished and Outstanding Lifetime Achievement Award” – for people who provided a distinguished and outstanding lifetime achievement as academics, scholars, top managers, investors, entrepreneurs, top professionals adopting a very complex systemic vision to design, development and implement their works/projects/companies etc.;
2) The Management and Policy for WCSA Growth Medal – reserved to WCSA members only, who, through their commitment, have made a significant contribution to the growth of the association;
3) The Medal in memory of Loet Leydesdorff – for entrepreneurs, investors, policymakers, academic scholars, top managers, and top professionals who represent successful cases in the complete realization of multi-helix projects inspired by the Leydesdorff model;
4) The Medal for sustainability – for entrepreneurs, investors, policymakers, academic scholars, top managers, and top professionals who, in their activities, enhance sustainability through a complex and multidimensional systemic approach, capable of highlighting the systemic interconnections among the various SDGs.
