Interdisciplinary Political Studies – Call for Special Issues (2023)

Interdisciplinary Political Studies (IdPS) welcomes the submission of proposals for special issues to be published in 2023. IdPS particularly values proposals on topical issues calling for an interdisciplinary approach.

Special issue proposals should include the following elements:
• The title of the special issue
• A brief description of the proposed content, its rationale and the relation with existing published work (1000-1500 words): the editors should present the main argument, ideas, and themes to be developed by the volume.
• A list of proposed papers (titles, authors, and abstracts).
• A brief biographical note for each guest editor, and optionally for other contributors.

The deadline for submitting proposals to the IdPS Editorial Office (editors.idps@gmail.com) is Monday 20 June 2022. Proposals will then be considered by IdPS editors.  The successful team will be informed by the end of June. Depending on the number of papers proposed, a related call for papers may be published in July 2022.
Please note that all manuscripts will be subject to double blind peer-review. The peer-review process will be managed by the editorial board of Interdisciplinary Political Studies in cooperation with the guest editors. Guest editors will also be expected to write an introduction to the special issue, which is normally not-peer-reviewed unless the contribution comes as a piece of original research.

Interdisciplinary Political Studies is an Open Access online journal with no publication fees, thanks to the support of the University of Salento. It publishes two issues per year focusing on domestic and international politics. It is indexed in the Directory of Open Acces Journals (DOAJ) and accepted for inclusion in SCOPUS.
